Rural women poultry farm at Ngororero District, Gitarama village
Project Launch: 3-22-19
Cooperative Dufatanye Gitarama, founded in 2015, plans to engage in small poultry farming. The cooperative plans to sell eggs and chickens as an income generating activity. The chicken manure will be used to fertilize soil and increase crop quality. They aim to produce and sell 5,400 eggs per and at least 300kg of organic fertilizers per month. The community is engaged and participants plan to save 150,000 RWF, or $167 USD, each month to reinvest in their project.
