Women of Comoros Mentoring Program
Project Launch: 1-6-17
Societal norms in traditional areas of the Comoros prefer to see girls seeking out spouses instead of careers. As a result, many girls drop out of school and abandon their educations altogether. This project seeks to draw upon 20 Comorian women mentors who will encourage high school girls in the area to consider educational and professional opportunities to advance themselves as empowered women. Each mentee will be paired with a mentor who will offer coaching, emotional support, and career guidance over the course of the project.
